One of the first things I published was a practical method of
measuring the quality of the software. This topic has been talked and
debated in the industry, but so far I have not worked for a company that has
been able to implemented any kind of software quality measurements.
Primarily because managers are more concerned with getting the software out the
door that they really don't have time to implement it.

- Building a Testing Automation System
This is another topic that I think deserves some discussion
because testing automation engineers sometimes get confused as to the reason
why they are developing a testing automation system. Most testing
automation engineers approach this development from a technology and "cool"
factor rather than from a testing quality assurance standpoint.
A testing automation system should provide value as soon as
possible so it can be incorporated into the QA testing cycle. This will
raise the level of confidence on the tool and consequently provide a great ROI.
